Background: My research journey reflects my curiosity about neuromuscular function and performance fatigability across sexes and aging. I began my academic career with undergraduate and master’s studies in sport science, driven by a passion for understanding the physiological foundations of exercise responses. During my PhD in Translational Medicine, I investigated the metabolic and neuromuscular determinants of performance fatigability across diverse exercise modalities in health, aging, and disease. This translational and multidisciplinary approach allowed me to expand my expertise in muscle physiology, biology, and biotechnology. Currently, my research aims to comprehensively explore neuromuscular function and performance fatigability, bridging whole-body macroscopic responses with detailed cellular and molecular mechanisms through a translational lens.

Outside the Lab: When I’m not in the lab, I love staying being in nature. I’m a ski instructor and I enjoy alpine and cross-country skiing, hiking, climbing, and traveling to explore new places and connect with people from different cultures.
