Tim Fulton, Ph.D.

Post Doctoral Fellow

Background: I received a Ph.D. in Exercise Physiology from Indiana University and a BA in Economics from the University of Northern Iowa. My research focuses on better understanding the physiological factors that limit human exercise performance in health and aging. This is accomplished by studying the integration of multiple organ systems (e.g., respiratory, cardiovascular, and neuromuscular) during exercise using various experimental techniques. My current projects, funded by the National Institute on Aging and the American Heart Association, investigate how dietary nitrate supplementation affects fatigability in older men and women.

Outside the Lab: I enjoy biking, hiking, cooking, and traveling.
